This July, during at the Swim Show in Miami, Frederick’s of Hollywood unveiled a spectacular limited edition of their swim wear line. As Editor in Chief of Stilo, I was given the opportunity to see a mini preview fashion show at their booth at the convention center. This collection truly, speaks a trendy, chic, look to Fredericks of Hollywood. For years they have told us how to look in the bedroom, now they are giving us ideas for the resort, beach and pool.

For more looks, check out:

She creates an awesome swim line that depicts the beauty of the ocean an its beautiful, “angelic beings”. Miami lucks out this year, as Lisa Blue comes straight from down under, to showcase her latest 2011 swim collection “Aborigional Prints” during Mercedes Benz Swim Week (July 15-20).

About Lisa Blue…

Springing from the renown coastal town Byron Bay, Australia, Lisa Blue brings uniquely, beautiful swimwear to the world. Offering a variety of gorgeous styles Lisa Blue epitomizes femininity. With designs ranging from striking authentic, Australian Aboriginal style prints to hot sexy Renaissance art mixed with french lace Lisa Blue compliments all.

Lisa Blue is a pioneer in combining beautiful fashion together with a cause to help preserve our marine environment. A full twenty five percent of the net profit for Lisa Blue is donated towards helping protect the whales and dolphins.
Lisa Blue reflects the inner beauty of the modern girl who cares to make a difference.

This is the way of the future.

Lisa Blue not only gives an unusually generous eco friendly donation but, as our swimwear is made in Australia with expert craftsmanship using premium fabric imported from Italy, we offer the hottest in design and aesthetics. Lisa Blue caters for both the sporty girl who rides the waves and the girl who simply enjoys to frolic on the beach or just wishes to look fabulous by the pool. Be prepared to stand out in our Boticelli’s Venus print , dare to be a tall poppy in electric leopard frills or a princess in an exquisite stretch lace bikini.

Donations to the Australian Whale Conservation Society
25% of the profit for Lisa Blue will be donated to the AWCS – the Australian Whale Conservation Society.
This organization is dedicated to cetacean conservation, education and research. The AWCS lobbies government on a local, state and national level for improved cetacean protection. For more information go to their website –
www.awcs.org.au

Aboriginal prints
The aboriginal style prints for 2010/11 are derived from Rosie Miller’s exquisite Australian Aboriginal paintings. Rosie is from the Mirning tribe (whale tribe), South Australia. Lisa Burke, the designer, has united with friends Rosie Miller and Bunna Lawrie, a close relative of Rosie and one of the last traditional whale dreamers on earth, to help win the good fight to save the whales and dolphins. Lisa is delighted to bridge the ancient world with the modern world and bring a greater appreciation to the original cultural beauty of Australia. You will see Lisa together with the beautiful indigenous model Tamara Flanagan modelling Lisa Blue and decorated with the Mirning tribe’s face paint. Lisa has been given permission from the elders to the honour of using the art work and the face paint designs. To find about the heart warming story of a lost Aboriginal Whale tribe go to www.whaledreamers.com

I met Scott Barnes at Books & Books in Bal Harbour, recently. I managed to get my hands on this product from his cosmetics collection called, “Body Bling.” You can rub it all over your body and it gives you a golden shimmer. No need to tan. This product gives your body its own “BLING”. I use it all the time now. And yes I follow his advice:

- You don’t need to age yourself,
- Stay out of the sun.
- Protect your skin
- Get checked from a Dermatologist
- Be safe, you don’t need to wrinkle up, it’s not necessary. I make tons of stuff to make you look gorgeous.

Scott Barnes Tips being a DIVA, while still keeping your SKIN HEALTHY:

1. Body Bling- It blends your skin. It gives you color and shimmer.

2. Neutrogena has a spray, SPF, which is great, it gives your skin a little bit of sheen and has a coolant in it.

3. Spray SPF on your Face.

4. Great SPF on your lip.

5. Add a little good lipgloss.

I think they rock. I love that they use these hot colors and create a peaceful and energetic vibe. I stumbled upon Issey’s latest collection and just had to plug this in to Stilo’s blog.

Japan’s Issey Miyake is not new to the fashion industry. He has participated in Paris Fashion Week since 1973. He is known for his creativity and innovation. His SS/10 Collection is out of this world. His collage of different pastel like colors along with various patterns, invokes a futuristic bohemian energy.
